Marina Bogacheff

Marina Bogacheff is an artist, based in Franche-Comté, on the French-Swiss border.

Her oil studies are always centered around water, light and transparent, full of light and strong in character. The pictorial, self-taught approach of Marina Bogacheff reflects her entire personal journey. Her affinity with realistic, even hyper-realistic style painting is based on her meticulous and quasi-analytical character, and due to her various training in the area of mathematics.

Throughout years spent between the Mediterranean Sea and the shores of Lake Neuchâtel, in her recurrent, obsessive practice Marina has been trying to capture the power of a wave and to unravel a formula of its powerful balance; decypher the elements of  a wave’s purity and liberating force.
