The Association AVLL is the umbrella organisation for sailing boats on the lake, helping to promote and organise events, and bringing together boat managers to tackle common problems, such as technical aspects, crew recruitment and training, legislation and the supply of equipment.
After being listed as an intangible heritage by the cantons of Lake Geneva and by the Swiss Confederation, the AVLL now shares with several European countries the candidacy for inclusion of the “Art of Navigation under Latin Sail” in UNESCO’s intangible heritage list.
