Preservation of heritage

The aim of the association is to preserve this historic vessel, and to guarantee the resources needed for it to navigate the waters of Lac Léman for many years to come. This iconic boat will be back at the heart of the heritage of the Léman area, and will be open to the general public and professional associations, as well as individual and corporate partners.

Created in 1988 in St Raphaël (Var), the Shipyard is specialized in the construction of boats in wood-molded, classically inspired.
This boat is distinguished by a great stability, but in version resolutely relaxation, comfort and lifestyle.
Designed and built by Marc Vuilliomenet, LA CLEMENTE can be rigged in third-party or Latin sails, as well as equipped with an outboard or in-board electric motor. Each boat is customized to the wishes of the owner and becomes unique. In varnished or painted version, transportable and winterable on trailer, to savor each summer season in total serenity on the bodies of water of its choice.

Since 2009, the Bolle Foundation has awarded its Prize for shipbuilding heritage on Lake Geneva every other year. The prizes, worth several thousands of francs, are awarded to owners who contribute to the promotion of the heritage of Lake Geneva by restoring or planning to restore their traditionally built boat, or by maintaining it in a sustainable and exemplary manner.

Promotion of the heritage of Lake Geneva

Dating from the end of the 19th century, and despite the good care of her previous owner, the "Corsaire" steam launch was no longer able to be repaired. An association was created in 2020 in order to rebuild her while remaining faithful to her original form. She will be equipped with a steam engine, according to the lake tradition of her time. The steam launch will sail and become a living witness of the lake heritage.
